At the Latin School of Chicago, all seniors are given the opportunity to create a Senior Project for their last month of high school. This project can be anything a student wants as long as they are exploring a topic that they are interested in and in a meaningful way.

For my senior project, I decided to explore what it means to be seventeen years old. While there are certain milestones that a vast majority of people reach around this age, every person has a unique perspective from their teenage years that is individually theirs. To best portray this diversity of experience, I conducted seventeen interviews of people from various backgrounds and ages about their most vivid memories from when they were seventeen. The audios of these interviews are presented on this website, along with a portrait of the interviewee and a short introduction.
